The Sport & Society Conference is pleased to offer an optional Pre-Conference Tapas Walking Tour.

Hidden Gems Tapas Tour: Visit different styles of bars and see how the locals do tapas. Sample local wine or beer, taste the food and learn about the city. This is so much more than `just´ a tapas tour, it´s an Experience!

Included: 2.5 - 3 hours with a local, knowledgeable, informative Tapas Expert, 4 drinks & 6 tapas per person, additional tips, anecdotes & useful information on what to see & do in Granada and accommodation for special dietary requirements (vegetarian/pescatarian) as long as this information is provided prior to the day of the tour (please provide this information when registering).

Pre-Conference Walking Tapas Tour Option B: Moorish Albaicin Tapas Tour

The Sport & Society Conference is pleased to offer an optional Pre-Conference Tapas Walking Tour.

Moorish Albaicin Tapas Tour: Experience tapas the way the locals do! Sample local wine or beer, taste the food and learn about the city. You will meet at the top of the Albaicin and then proceed to walk down through the historic, hilly part of the city and finish the route by eating tapas in the flatter part of town.

Included: 2.5 - 3 hours with a local, knowledgeable, informative Tapas Expert, 3 drinks & 6 tapas per person, additional tips, anecdotes & useful information on what to see & do in Granada and accommodation for special dietary requirements (vegetarian/pescatarian) as long as this information is provided prior to the day of the tour (please provide this information when registering).

Conference Dinner: Restaurante Gallio

The Sport & Society Conference is pleased to announce the Conference Dinner.

Gallio Restaurant: Located at the central Plaza Bib-Rambla, #14 and next to the Granada Cathedral and Alcaiceria (the old Arabian silk bazaar), you will find a welcoming, cozy dining room with space for 65 guests and a grand window made by an Andalucian master artisan in the first half of the last century and an outdoor conditioned terrace with room for 70 guests under hundred-year-old lindens. Gallio Restaurant specializes in Italian fusion cuisine, including risottos and fresh pasta, soups, grilled meat, and fish. All of this can be served with exquisite selections from an extensive and carefully curated wine cellar.

Non-vegetarian Option
Starter: Salmorejo with shavings of ham and egg, paired with Buffalo Mozzarella over tomato,basil, and Iberian ham, followed by lemon sorbet with the aroma of mint. Entree (choice of): 1. Grilled steak (beef) with seasoned vegetables, or 2. Baked seabass on a bed of potatoes. Dessert: Tiramisu

Vegan Option
Starter: Salmorejo. First Course: Zucchini and eggplant strudel with a Neapolitan sauce. Second Course: Mushroom risotto and wild asparagus. Dessert: Sampled Macedonian seasonal fruit.

Mineral water from the Lanjarón region of the Sierra Nevada, soft drinks, red wine (from the Ribera del Duero region), white wine (from the Rueda region) and Alhambra beer included.
