Rosana da Câmara Teixeira

Associate Professor at the School of Education at Fluminense Federal University (UFF). She holds a Bachelor’s in Social Sciences from UFF, a Master’s and PhD from the Graduate Program in Sociology and Anthropology at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), and a Postdoctoral degree in Social Anthropology from the National Museum/UFRJ (2016). She is a researcher at the Laboratory of Education and Cultural Heritage (Laboep-UFF), Editor of the journal Esporte e Sociedade (UFF), and leader of the research group Football in the Classroom. Her work focuses on football supporter culture, idolatry, fan studies, social practices of memory, anthropology of education, and teacher training. She is the author of Os perigos da paixão: visitando jovens torcidas cariocas (2004), based on her master’s research, and Krig-ha bandolo! Cuidado aí vem Raul Seixas (2008), her award-winning doctoral thesis funded by FAPERJ. She is also co-author of Futebol na sala de aula: jogadas, dribles, passes, esquemas táticos e atuações para o ensino de Ciências Sociais e de História (2021) and Nada do Flamengo, Tudo pelo Flamengo: memórias da Torcida Jovem do Flamengo (anos 1960-1990) (2022).
