Dr. Jennifer Pharr
Dr. Pharr is an Associate Professor of Public Health at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Her research interests include the intersection of sport, physical activity, and health; barriers and facilitators to health behaviors including sport participation and physical activity; and the use of social marketing by professional sport leagues to promote health, physical activity, and sport participation. Additionally, Dr. Pharr is examining the mental and physical health impacts of legislation in the United States to ban transgender athletes from participation in sports and the larger social-cultural consequences of such legislation.
